Springfield Armory Introduces the Kuna 9mm Pistol
Springfield Armory in collaboration with HS Produkt introduces the Kuna 9mm Pistol. The pistol's roller-delayed system promises enhanced reliability and reduced recoil, making it a potent choice for personal defense.
Springfield Armory, based in Geneseo, Illinois, has announced the introduction of the Kuna 9mm pistol, designed in conjunction with HS Produkt. Recognized for its roller-delayed operation system, the Kuna is engineered to minimize recoil and muzzle flip, making it highly controllable.
Named after the European Pine Marten, the Kuna is rooted in Croatia’s symbols of national and military might. Its roller-delayed powerhouse eliminates the need for a hefty bolt, offering unparalleled shooting experience without resorting to gas systems.
The pistol's sleek design features a robust monolithic aluminum upper fitted with M-LOK slots while sporting a cold, radial hammer forged 6-inch barrel. Its stability is augmented with a muzzle brake that uses a 1/2×28-threaded format.
Additionally, the Kuna is user-friendly for both left and right-handed individuals through its carefully designed ambidextrous controls. Two translucent 30-round magazines complement this, equipped with metal feed lips for durability, aligned with an AR-style pistol grip found in Springfield’s well-regarded Hellcat and Echelon series.
Its versatility is apparent in its dual model offerings: a straightforward version at $999 and a variation with Strike Industries FSA brace priced at $1,149. The brace adds enhanced shooting stability and swift deployment functionality.
Vice President of Marketing at Springfield Armory, Steve Kramer, highlighted that the Kuna, with its advanced roller-delayed mechanism, redefines its class’s performance benchmarks.
