Smith & Wesson Introduces New M&P Shield X Pistol

Smith & Wesson has launched the M&P Shield X, a new sub-compact pistol focusing on versatility and improved ergonomics.
Smith & Wesson has announced the release of its latest firearm, the M&P Shield X series. This new sub-compact pistol aims to offer versatility to users, continuing the evolution of the popular Shield series. The Shield X is designed for concealed carry and is available in several models, including options with 13+1 and 15+1 ammunition capacities, along with a 10+1 compliant version. This new model features an ergonomic frame design, intended to improve the shooting experience by offering a longer grip, an undercut trigger guard, and an extended beaver tail for a better fit across different hand sizes. It also comes equipped with front and rear serrations, a 3.6-inch stainless steel barrel, and advanced Ameriglo night sights. Additionally, the pistol includes an integrated front rail and trigger guard for mounting light and laser accessories, as well as an optics-ready footprint to attach a red dot sight. The Shield X also incorporates Smith & Wesson’s ClearSight Cut to maintain a clear view when using an optic. The design changes draw inspiration from the Bodyguard 2.0 model, aiming to enhance control and comfort without affecting concealability.
