Springfield Armory's New 1911 Operator AOS Threaded .45 Pistols Available Now
Springfield Armory has expanded its lineup with the new 1911 Operator AOS Threaded .45 ACP pistols, designed for modern shooters seeking suppressor-ready firearms.
Springfield Armory has announced the release of its latest product, the 1911 Operator AOS Threaded .45 ACP pistols. These new additions are available in four Cerakote colors: Coyote Brown, OD Green, Tungsten Gray, and black. Known for their duty-grade features, these suppressor-ready pistols cater to serious shooting enthusiasts.
The Operator pistols blend the classic 1911 design with contemporary upgrades demanded by today's shooters. Key features include a Picatinny accessory rail, tritium front sight, and ambidextrous safety. Each pistol also comes with base pad-equipped magazines and other enhancements.
Made with a forged carbon steel slide and frame, the pistols boast forged 5.75” threaded stainless steel barrels featuring a low-profile black DLC coating. Their extended barrels are threaded in .578×28, allowing for easy mounting of accessories, and come with a knurled thread protector.
For those interested in optics, the pistols incorporate the Agency Optic System (AOS), developed in partnership with Agency Arms. This system uses machined billet steel plates to accommodate popular red dot sights, such as the RMR, Shield, Delta Point Pro, and Docter footprints, and comes with a cover plate. Buyers receive a discounted rate on one AOS optic plate at $49, an $80 saving.
The four color options feature a Cerakote finish, providing corrosion protection while reducing the need for oiling. This finish enhances firearm durability and performance, ensuring longer lifespan and easier maintenance.
Steve Kramer, Springfield Armory's Vice President of Marketing, emphasized the performance and aesthetic variety the new pistols bring to the Operator series, with an MSRP of $1,289 for each variant.
