KelTec Marks Milestone with Ribbon Cutting at New Wyoming Facility
The new KelTec facility in Rock Springs, Wyoming celebrates its official ribbon cutting, highlighting its impact on local job creation and innovation in the firearms industry.
On July 23, 2025, KelTec celebrated a significant milestone with the official ribbon cutting ceremony at their facility in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Despite having been operational for some time, producing the innovative PR-5.7 pistol, the ceremony marked an important moment for the company.
The event was underscored by a short video that captured the excitement surrounding the ceremony. Adrian Kellgren, Director of Industrial Production at KelTec, emphasized the importance of the site saying, 'This building isn’t just bricks and machines. It’s where the next generation of firearms takes shape.'
Prominent attendees included NRA CEO and EVP Doug Hamlin, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, and Rock Springs Mayor Max Mickelson, who all praised KelTec's investment in workforce development and its alignment with Wyoming’s values of independence and self-reliance.
The PR-5.7 pistol, engineered and manufactured at the new facility, boasts a lightweight rotary barrel system and a unique top-loading design using stripper clips, with a 20+1 round capacity. With a price point of $399 MSRP, it aims to offer exceptional performance and accessibility.
Since February, the PR-5.7 has been shipping nationwide and is now in full production. The increased output from the new facility is expected to meet growing demand across the country.
As the Rock Springs facility expands and creates more jobs, it is not merely an expansion but a launchpad for KelTec’s future innovations. CEO George Kellgren stated, 'Our company’s future is tied to American liberty. And there’s no better place to honor that than right here in Wyoming.'
