Smith & Wesson Unveils the CSX E-Series
Smith & Wesson introduces the CSX E-Series, an evolved version of its CSX platform, aimed at enhancing everyday carry through improved ergonomics, increased capacity, and customization options.
Smith & Wesson, a long-standing name in American firearms, has rolled out the latest iteration of its CSX line – the CSX E-Series. With roots in the company's acclaimed CSX platform, the E-Series is designed for users seeking enhanced performance and reliability in their everyday carry.
A key feature of the CSX E-Series is its focus on ergonomics and control. The new model includes a large wrap-around front strap, which notably increases the textured surface area by 200% compared to its predecessor. This enhancement aims to offer users better grip and control, thus boosting confidence with each handling.
In a bid to improve shooting precision, the CSX E-Series sports a refined trigger system. Users will experience a redesigned forward set trigger that reduces the trigger pull break angle by 40%, promising a smoother and more linear pull. This, coupled with an enhanced reset, provides consistent shot performance, ensuring that shooters remain on target.
Addressing the need for firepower without sacrificing compactness, Smith & Wesson offers new 15- and 17-round magazine options with the CSX E-Series. This enables more capacity while maintaining the pistol's compact form, suitable for everyday concealment and comfort.
The CSX E-Series further embraces modern shooting needs by including an optic-ready design. It features a modified RMS-C/507K optic cut with M4 mounting screw holes for direct micro red dot attachment. To enhance functionality, ClearSight™ Cut technology minimizes optic blowback contamination, maintaining a clear sight picture under various conditions.
For those prioritizing customization, the CSX E-Series introduces a modular grip adapter, allowing transitions between subcompact and compact sizes. The redesign of the fixed 12-round magazine spacer also contributes to improved grip stability and comfort, tailoring the firearm to individual needs.
CSX E-Series maintains critical elements from the original CSX, including ambidextrous safety, slide stop, and magazine release for user versatility, regardless of shooting preference.
